One more shown arrested

Police have shown arrested another robber along with Tk 900,000 for his alleged involvement with the burglary of about Tk 20 million from Joypurhat branch of Brac Bank.
The arrestee is identified as Sheikh Iqbal, son of Sheikh Shamsuddin, resident of Thanapara area of Kushtia. Police unveiled the arrestee's name Friday though he was nabbed on October 6 from his residence.
"Sheikh Iqbal helped us find all other burglars in the case…. We kept his identity secret for further investigation into the case," Officer-in-Charge of Joypurhat Sadar police station Abdur Rashid Sarker told the FE over phone.
He also said rest of the money would be recovered very soon.
Earlier on Thursday, members of the Rapid Action Battalion arrested seven people for their alleged involvement with the burglary and recovered Tk 5.6 million from them.
A team of RAB-11 picked up Raja Miah (45), the mastermind behind the burglary, from Srinagar of Munshiganj at 10:50 pm Wednesday.
Based on his information, they also arrested Sri Badal alias Babla (49), Md Hasan Shamim (32), Anup Chandra Pandit (21), Plabon Chandra Pandit (25), Swapan Debnath (40) and MK Kuddusur Rahman Bulu (52) from Fatullah of Narayanganj and Sabujbagh of Dhaka at the same night.
On September 27, burglars looted more than Tk 19.5 million from the vault of Brac Bank's Joypurhat branch after breaking its wall open.
