PM cancels official visit to Spain, Brazil: Hasan Mahmud

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has cancelled her official visit to Spain and Brazil considering the current situation.
Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud confirmed the updates while briefing the media at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday. The visit was scheduled to begin on July 21, reports UNB.
Hasan said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs already informed the two governments of the visit cancellations.
He said they were also sending letters to the two governments through diplomatic channels.
The Awami League Joint Secretary General said criminals were carrying out arson attacks on various establishments including expressway toll plaza, metro rail stations, disaster management department and state-run TV station - BTV.
Hasan said the criminals hired terrorists, addicted people and others to carry out attacks and vandalism.
The Foreign Minister also said the criminals set the data centre on fire disrupting internet services. "You know who those attackers are."
