PM leaves for Myanmar today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina leaves for Myanmar and Indonesia today (Monday) for bilateral talks and attend the Bali Democracy Forum 2011, reports UNB.
During her two-day visit to Myanmar, the Prime Minister is likely to sign a number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Myanmar government. Myanmar Foreign Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin will receive Hasina at the airport. He will later call on her at Hotel Myat Taw Win where she will stay during her visit.
Hasina is scheduled to meet President Thein Sein on December 6 before holding bilateral talks between the two neighbouring countries. The talks will be followed by signing MoUs on various issues, including economic cooperation.
She will lay the foundation of Bangladesh Chancery building at the diplomatic zone and visit Gems Museum, PyithuHluttaw (Parliament House) and Uppatathandi Pagoda.
In the evening, the Prime Minister will attend a state banquet to be hosted in her honour by President Thein Sein.
Hasina will leave Myanmar for Indonesia on December 7 and is expected reach Bali in the evening.
She will attend the two-day Bali Democracy Forum 2011 at Westin Resort Nusa Dua.
She will attend the international democracy conference styled 'Bali Democracy Forum (BDF) IV' on December 8-9 at Westin Resort Nusa Dua.
Fifteen heads of state are set to attend the event with 54 countries from the Asia Pacific region, including Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste, Brunei Darussalam, Qatar and Sri Lanka.
Hasina is expected to return home on the afternoon of December 9.
