PM to launch Krishak Card distribution from Tangail on April 14

TANGAIL, April 3 (BSS): Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will formally inaugurate the distribution of krishak cards from Tangail on April 14 next.

The card-distribution programme will be held at Shaheed Maruf Stadium on that day.

Fisheries and Livestock State Minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku has said the inauguration of the Krishak Card distribution programme from Tangail is a matter of pride and joy for the people of Tangail.

Talking with journalists after inspecting the venue on Friday afternoon, Tuku said Krishak Card is a groundbreaking initiative for the development of farmers.

During the visit, Tuku reviewed the preparations and provided necessary instructions to the concerned officials to make the programme successful.

Agriculture Secretary Rafiqul E Mohammad and officials concerned were present.

A preparatory meeting was held in the afternoon at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office with Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque in the chair.

At the meeting, Tuku instructed all concerned officials to perform their respective duties with utmost responsibility.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will personally hand over krishak cards to 15 farmers at the inauguration event.
