Bangladesh Friday reported one Covid-19 death while it recorded 355 coronavirus positive cases, report agencies.
"Among the Covid-19 fatality, one death was recorded in Dhaka division," a daily statement of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
Bangladesh reported 5.84 per cent Covid-19 positive cases as 6,083 samples were tested in the last 24 hours till Friday morning, the release added.
During the past 24 hours, the combined figure of coronavirus infection in Dhaka district and the capital city is 85 while one Covid-19 death was reported during the period.
The official tally showed that the virus killed 29,285 people and infected 20,04,543 so far, the statement added.
The recovery count rose to 19,40,779 after another 696 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.

recovered among the infected people while 1.46 per cent died, the DGHS
statistics showed.
Among the 29,285 fatalities, 12,888 occurred in Dhaka division, 5,885 in
Chattogram, 2,148 in Rajshahi, 3,730 in Khulna, 987 in Barishal, 1,333 in
Sylhet, 1,421 in Rangpur and 893 in Mymensingh divisions.
Globally, the overall number of Covid cases has now surged past 579 million amid a rise in new infections in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
According to the latest global data, the total case count mounted to 579,836,225 and the death toll reached 6,414,919 on Friday morning.
The US has recorded 92,917,658 cases so far and 1,054,422 people have died from the virus in the country, the data shows.
India's daily Covid-19 caseload rose to 20,409, after showing a declining trend in the new cases, officials said on Thursday.
According to federal health ministry data released on Thursday morning, 20,409 new cases of Covid were reported in 24 hours, taking the total tally to 43,979,730 in the country.
The country also logged 47 related deaths during the period, pushing the overall toll to 526,258, the ministry said.
