Power supply from Adani plant fully restored after unit restart

A previously shut unit of the Adani Group's power plant in Jharkhand, India, has resumed operation, restoring electricity supply to Bangladesh from both units.
Power from the revived unit began flowing into the national grid at around 7:45pm on Monday, according to officials.
Sources at the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) said a recent mechanical fault had forced one unit offline, cutting supply by about 700 megawatts.
The disruption occurred on April 22, when a sudden mechanical failure halted production at one unit, officials said.
Data from the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) showed the plant had been supplying a combined peak of 1,499 megawatts from its two units that day.
