SIRAJGANJ, Jul 30 (UNB): Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed Wednesday said the process is on for the release of detained former Prime Minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and bringing her and her party to the pre-election dialogue.

He categorically said his government wholeheartedly wants all political parities, particularly the two major parties -- BNP and Awami League -- to participate in the next general election.

Fakhruddin noted that the chief of a major political party -- indicating ex-PM and AL president Sheikh Hasina -- was released and the government had a dialogue with her and her party.

And a government press statement during the temporary release of Sheikh Hasina had given assurance that similar measures were open from government side for the release of Khaleda.

Saying that the government was ready to advance, he hoped that they (BNP) would also come forward in this regard.

"There's no lack of goodwill in this regard," the head of the caretaker government stated the government stand as a participant in a dialogue suggested carrying out all-out efforts to bring AL and BNP in the elections.
