Raja Debashis Roy gets married

CHITTAGONG, July 5: Raja Debashish Roy, king of the tribal Chakma community in Rangamati hill district, has married a Rakhain beauty of Bandarban on Friday last.
The name of the bride is Yen Yen. It is his second marriage.
The royal ceremony took place at the bride's home at Ujanipara of the hill district of Bandarban and later at his home in Rangamati attended by some four thousand guests.
His first wife Rani Tutu Roy died of cancer in 1989. She left behind her son Rajkumar Tribhuban Aryadev Roy and daughter Rajkumari Ayetri Aradhona Roy.
Raja became acquainted with Ms Yen at Adelaide of Australia. Ms Yen has been doing her PhD degree at the Adelaide University after completing her B Sc Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). His mother, Rani Arati Roy, was present on the occasion, among others.
Raja Debashis Roy is the son of former Chakma Raja Tridiv Roy and Rani Arati Roy.
