A case was filed against a Jubo League leader in connection with Wednesday's two-storey tin-shed house collapse incident that claimed lives of 12 people, report agencies.
Jubo League leader Moniruzzaman Chowdhury Monir allegedly built and rented the two-storey hut on a lake.
Rampura police filed the case Thursday afternoon and said they were trying to arrest Monir. The house was erected on a water body on bamboo pillars.
Local people alleged that Moniruzzaman, who is also president of Jubo League unit of Ward No-22, constructed the tin-shed house showing his muscle power after grabbing the land.
Earlier on Wednesday night, the government formed a three-member probe body to investigate the collapse of the two-storey tin-shed house.
