Rashid rattles Tigers

June 06, 2018 00:00:00

Bangladesh were in big trouble against Afghanistan in the second Twenty20 of the three-match series after losing three wickets in an over of leg-spinner Rashid Khan, reports bdnews24.com.

Captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to bat first at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in India's Dehradun on Tuesday.

Rashid, however, missed a hat-trick after he bowled opener Tamim Iqbal (43 off 48) and trapped Mosaddek Hossain lbw.

Bangladesh were tottering at 103 for 7 with four more overs remaining after that sensational over by Rashid.

Tamim had kept the Tigers' hope of posting a challenging score after Bangladesh lost opener Liton Das and Sabbir Rahman early.

Liton tried to pull the first delivery of Afghan pacer Shapoor Zardan in the second over of the innings, but ended up short-arming it to Rashid Khan at deep square leg.

Bangladesh scored 134 for 8 in 20 overs at the time of our going to press at around 10:30pm.
