Red alert in Ctg for 7-murder suspects

CHITTAGONG, May 7: The police administration issued a red alert in the Chittagong Port and Shah Amanat International Airport immigration Tuesday, hanging pictures of the recent Narayanganj seven-murder suspects.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) deputy commissioner (HQ) Masudul Hassan said they are on high alert, so that Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) ward councilor Nur Hossain and his accomplices, involved in the seven-murder case, cannot flee the country through Chittagong by water vessel or airplane.

 "The alert has been issued since Tuesday evening following instruction from the Police headquarters to take adequate measures at the seaport and airport in Chittagong."

"The accused may flee the country through the Chittagong Port or Shah Amanat International Airport. So, names, photographs, passport numbers, and individual information etc of Nur Hossain and his accomplices are displayed in the list of the suspects."

Policemen have also been put on high alert, so that the suspects of the murders of NCC panel mayor Nazrul Islam and six others cannot flee through seaport or airport, he added.
