Share prices continue to rise for second day

Share prices on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), led by Trust Bank, continued to rise for the second day Tuesday.
Banking shares and mutual funds also had a happy ride on the surge of Trust Bank that made a debut in the market Monday.
The total market capitalisation of DSE has already crossed US$ 9.0 billion-mark and closed at $ 9.19 billion (Tk 631.86 billion) on the day against $ 9.11 billion on Monday.
The total market capitalisation of the bourse was $ 8.89 billion Sunday.
On Tuesday, the price of Trust Bank share rose 7.65 per cent at Tk 914.25 and was the turnover leader with traded shares worth Tk 292.982 million.
All the market barometers- DSE General Index (DGEN), All Shares Price Index (DSI) and DSE-20 Index (DS20) gained 20.489 points, 23.289 points and 11.041 points to close at 2647.513, 2191.727 and 2032.293 respectively.
The total turnover, however, dropped to Tk 2.096 billion from Tk 2.339 billion Monday last.
"Investors' fund flow to other areas of stocks has been affected due to heavy buying of Trust Bank shares on the first day and that's why the turnover dropped Tuesday," a DSE source said.
Shares worth Tk 824.54 million of Trust Bank was traded on the debut day.
Out of 201 traded issues, prices of 116 gained, 69 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
Apart from Trust Bank, the top turnover leaders were AB Bank with Tk 124.077 million, BRAC Bank Tk 108.453 million, AIMS Tk 105.395 million, Summit Power Tk 86.818 million, Grameen One Tk 80.581 million, Heidelberg Cement Tk 65.267 million, UCBL Tk 64.033 million, LankaBangla Finance Tk 61.810 million and ACI Tk 54.110 million.
The 6th ICB Mutual Fund whooped a 11.08 per cent gain at Tk 461.00, AB Bank 6.93 per cent to Tk 2630.75, AIMS 11.06 per cent to Tk 8.73, ACI 10.89 per cent to Tk 179.20, Grameen One 8.45 per cent to Tk 66.70, Heidelberg Cement 2.79 per cent to Tk 1304.50, LankaBangla Finance 7.26 per cent to Tk 85.60 and Keya Detergent 15.38 per cent at Tk 28.50.
On the other hand, Summit Power declined 1.13 per cent to Tk 1440.50 and UCBL 0.07 per cent to Tk 4473.00.
