Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary-general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said on Friday that ousted authoritarian leader Sheikh Hasina even sitting in India was still continuing conspiracy against the country.
"The deposed fascist (Sheikh Hasina) is still hatching conspiracy sitting in India against the country," he said while addressing as the chief guest an event organised by Thakurgaon Students Parishad based in capital Dhaka.
He said that widespread corruption and looting happened in the banking sector during the last 15 years of the fascist regime.
Lauding the role of students and people in ousting autocratic ruler Sheikh Hasina, he said, "You (students) have saved country people from the hands of the fascist (Sheikh Hasina)".
He urged the students to remain vigilant so that the conspirators could not create any further unrest in the country.
