'Skinheads' demand more power

GAZIPUR, Apr 10: Over 100 people shaved their heads in protest against excessive load-shedding in Gazipur. The civil skinheads brought out a procession Saturday morning at Kaliakoir demanding that load shedding be made less frequent and more tolerable.
Carrying a banner saying "Loadshedding-e Autishtha Janagan" the procession marched from the Kaliakoir bus-stand to the local office of the Rural Electrification Board about one kilometer away. The bald-headed protesters held a brief discussion in front of the power agency's offices. This was followed by a human chain by the side of the Dhaka-Tangail Highway between 11am and noon. The procession attracted a huge number of participants instantly.--bdnews24.com
