SOS Children's Villages makes 200 young entrepreneurs self-reliant

With the aim of encouraging underprivileged young entrepreneurs, SOS Children's Villages International Bangladesh has made two hundred underprivileged young entrepreneurs from Chittagong and Bogra economically self-dependent.
The main results of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Skills Training Project were also highlighted at an event titled "Entrepreneurship and Basic Skills Training for 200 Youths in Bogura and Chattogram to Ensure a Sustainable Source of Income" organized by SOS Children's Villages International and funded by the Bestseller Foundation at a hotel at Hotel Bengal Blueberry, Dhaka on Monday. Ms. Nasreen Afroz, Executive Chairman (Secretary) of the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA), attended the event as the chief guest. Additionally, Mr. Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, Managing Director of SME Foundation, attended as the Special Guest.

Mr. Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, Managing Director, SME Foundation, was present as special guest. Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, National Director of SOS Children's Villages International Bangladesh, Ms. Tahera Yasmin, Chairperson of the Advisory Committee, Project Director Dr. Md. Ashraf Hossain and senior officials were also present at the event.
Project Director Dr. Md. Ashraf Hossain presented detailed information and data on the scope of the project titled " Entrepreneurship and Basic Skills Training for 200 Youths in Bogura and Chattogram to Ensure a Sustainable Source of Income " to the guests present at the event. This project has been instrumental in providing customized training sessions, logistical support to establish businesses, and continuous assistance to ensure a stable income for the participants. The initiative has already contributed to the economic empowerment of the youths and their families in Bogura and Chattogram.
The young people present at the programme shared their experiences of how their families are now living a comfortable life.
