JOHANNESBURG, June 11 (AFP): Hosts South Africa drew 1-1 with Mexico in the opening Group A match at the World Cup finals here Friday.
Siphiwe Tshabalala had given the South Africans the lead in the 55th minute but the Mexicans levelled through Rafael Marquez in the 79th.
