Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain has tendered his resignation as Managing Director (MD) of Southeast Bank PLC.
He submitted his resignation to the Chairman of the bank's Board of directors on 28 July 2025, citing his health grounds, according to a press release, issued by the bank.
On 4 May last, the bank's Board granted Mr. Hossain a three-month leave until 4 August, 2025.
During his leave, Additional Managing Director of the bank Abidur Rahman Chowdhury was given the charge of Managing Director (Current Responsibilities).
Mr Hossain was appointed as the Managing Director of Southeast Bank on 5 April 2023.
Before that, he served the banks as deputy managing director.
