State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid Thursday directed the power utility officials to give specific timeframe for applicants to inform them about the fate of the applications for electricity connections, reports UNB.
"You must give them (applicants) specific timeframe when you can give the connection or not. There must be customer service centre in each of the utility outlets," he told the officials of different power distribution companies at a "public hearing" at Bidyut Bhaban.
The Power Ministry convened the public hearing to directly listen from the consumers about their complaints. But, interestingly only one person, Abdur Rashid, came from Rajbari district to join the public hearing to directly convey his complaint about the delay in giving him the power connection.
