FE Report
Students and local people on Thursday set fire to a passenger bus in the capital's Farmgate area following a road accident that injured a college student, the police said. Sub-inspector of Tejgaon police station Abdul Matin said the Gabtoli-bound bus from Sayedabad hit Sheikh Abdullah (18), a Higher Secondary Certificate examinee from Dhaka Commerce College at Mirpur, from behind while he was passing towards Indira Road at Students, locals about 1:20pm, leaving him seriously injured. The injured college student was immediately rushed to Al-Razi Hospital of the area and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment. Being outraged, students and local people set ablaze the bus in protest of the accident that halted vehicular movement for a while on the road that connected the northwestern part of the capital with central Dhaka.
