Technical glitch disrupts metro rail services

Technical issues disrupt Dhaka Metro Rail operations for around an hour, leading to lengthy queues of commuters awaiting trains at Secretariat station on Saturday evening. — FE Photo by Asad-Uz-Zaman

Metro rail services had remained disrupted for more than one and a half hours from 6:45pm before it resumed at 8:20pm.
The services were disrupted due to a power outage, according to MAN Siddique, Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).
The metrorail services stopped at Bangladesh Secretariat and Uttara North stations.
However, sources from police said the metrorail services stopped due to a server problem.
