The footbridge at Farmgate

The footbridge at Farmgate, which was reconstructed with a new look, was officially opened to pedestrians on Sunday. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan inaugurated the footbridge. Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Md Atiqul Islam was also present. The old footbridge had been demolished to make way for the construction of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway. Subsequently, the Expressway authority undertook the reconstruction of the footbridge at an approximate cost of Tk 200 million, incorporating a design inspired by the Parliament building. — Photo: Collected
