TIB blasts Muhith on toll

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has voiced concern over the finance minister's move to collect subscriptions from the private sector for the upcoming T20 World Cup and the bid for national anthem record, reports UNB.

TIB Executive Director Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, in a statement Monday, urged the government to stop collecting such toll, which, he said is contradictory to the Article 20 (2) of the Constitution.

He also demanded disclosure of amount of money and its sources, and how it is being spent.
