Train to run on polling day

Bangladesh Railway will operate all the long and short-distance trains from Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital as per schedule on the polling day.

As usual, all trains will run on the polling day (Sunday), said sources at Kamalapur Railway Station.

"Passengers may come to the station and make their trips to go their destinations as expected," an official told the FE on Saturday.

Earlier, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) had imposed a ban on movement of all types of motor vehicles on the polling day.

The ban on vehicular movement will remain in force for 24 hours from midnight on Saturday.
