Transport strike in 21 districts withdrawn

CHUADANGA, Oct 27 (UNB): Transport strike in 21 south and south-western districts was called off by the Motor Malik-Shramik Oikyo Parishad leaders of the regions Thursday evening. The decision came from an emergency meeting convened by Oikya Parishad leaders, held at its office in Jessore Thursday evening. The leaders of Malik-Shramik Oikyo Parishad announced that the strike has been withdrawn following assurances made by the Shipping Minister that their demands will be fulfilled by November 3.
