MONGLA (Bagerhat), Sept 6 (UNB): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said on Sunday two submarines would join the navy fleet in mid-2016 as part of efforts to build a skilled, modern and balanced three-dimensional Navy.
"...a process for the induction of two submarines in the Navy has already been finalised and those will join the navy fleet in mid-2016, Insha Allah," the PM said.
She was addressing a function marking the commissioning of the first locally-built oil fleet tanker BNS KJ Ali, two landing craft utilities BNS Sandwip and BNS Hatia as well as handover of two landing craft tanks (LCTs)-LCT-103 and LCT-105-at the Naval Berth at Mongla in Bagerhat.
