Use transparent car windows: Home Ministry

In the wake of growing incidents of abduction across the country, the Home Ministry Tuesday issued a circular asking for the removal of all artificial coverings as well as nontransparent and colourful glasses from car windows, reports UNB.
Artificial coverings on car windows that include layers of different colours/mercury/tint/ nontransparent film/polythene must be removed by May 10, said a handout.
This provision will not be applicable for cars windshields of which, side windows, or rear windows had built-in coverings during the time of their assembling at the factories, the handout added.
The circular noted that the Home Ministry earlier on April 30 had issued a circular banning the use of black/colourful/non-transparent/mercury glasses in cars.
The Home Ministry issued the circular considering the difficulties of the law enforcers and detectives to detect the people and objects inside the cars with black/colourful/ mercury/nontransparent glasses, said the circular issued by the Home Ministry on Tuesday.
