Vaccination drive extended

The authorities have extended the nationwide daylong Covid-19 vaccination campaign till today (July 21) aiming to fulfill the target of administering 7.5 million people with second and booster dose, report agencies.

"We have set a target of administering 7.5 million people... on the first day of the campaign, nearly 6.0 million were inoculated with coronavirus vaccines and two more days are needed to fulfill the target," Dr Shamsul Haque, member secretary of the National Covid-19 Vaccine Management Task force, told news agencies Wednesday.

The 2nd day of the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign began at 9am Wednesday across the country.
