Voter listing starts in city

An onerous task of preparing voter list for Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) areas kicked off Tuesday with much enthusiasm, as the countrywide exercise in preparation for the next election started coming into culmination, reports UNB.
The Election Commission (EC) is considering the task of DCC voter-listing as the toughest part of their ongoing photo voter-list programme.
A big band of 13,040 enumerators got down to functioning at field-level to prepare the voter list from Tuesday. The enumerators are making door-to-door visit to collect the voters' particulars.
Enumerators of different areas told the reporters that they are not getting the eligible male voters at their residences, as it was a working day.
