We\\\'re looking to SC for Kamaruzzaman\\\'s execution: Anisul Huq

Law Minister Anisul Huq Tuesday said the death sentence awarded to war criminal convict Jamaat-e-Islami leader M Kamaruzzaman will be executed after obtaining the copy of the Supreme Court(SC) verdict, reports UNB.

"We're looking towards the Supreme Court. Let's see what they do," the minister said while talking to reporters after a meeting with State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hassan Mahmood Khandker at his ministry.

Replying to a question, the minister said they did not discuss the execution of Kamaruzzaman in the meeting. He, however, said an elaborate discussion was held on some important cases at the monitoring cell."
