Woman, her two minor daughters strangulated in city

A middle aged mother and her two minor daughters were strangulated allegedly by her brother at Jatrabari in the city Saturday, reports UNB.
Police on information rescued the bodies of Shahnaj Akter Nazma (40), wife of businessman Abdur Rashid and her two daughters - Urmi (15) and Rumi (3) - from the bed and drawing rooms of the house.
Quoting household maid Renu Begum, police said Nazma's brother Masud along with his two friends entered the house at South Jattrabari in the morning.
Renu opened the door when Masud and his friends entered and she went out. When Renu returned after sometime, she found bodies of the victims lying in the bed and drawing rooms.
Police suspected that enmity between the sister and brother might be the reason behind the gruesome murder.Police sent the bodies to Mitford Hospital for autopsy. A case was registered but none of the suspected killers was arrested till late evening.
