Woman's body recovered from Sabujbagh

Police recovered on Sunday the body of a woman from a house at Dakkhingaon in the capital's Sabujbagh area.

The deceased was identified as Nilufar Yasmin (30), wife of a police sub-inspector.

Police sent the body to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of Sabujbagh Police Station Mosammat Fatema said that after hearing the news police rushed to the house located near Dakkhingaon Shahibagh Mosque area under Sabujbagh Police Station and recovered the body early Sunday.

She said deceased Nilufar Yasmin's husband Anwar Hossain is serving as a sub-inspector of Gazipur Metropolitan Police. They (couple) have one son and one daughter.

Nilufar Yasmin hailed from Rowmari upazila under Kurigram district. She was the daughter of Noor Islam.

The police official further said that the cause of death could be ascertained after receiving the postmortem report.
