CHITTAGONG, Oct 2: US Ambassador Dan W Mozena has said women entrepreneurs of Chittagong are dedicated to building a golden Bangladesh and so they are favourite to him.

He said this while exchanging views with directors and members of Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CWCCI) at its office in the city Wednesday.

"I have earned a lot of experience through crisscrossing the country in the recent past and have seen that some parts are famous for mango, some are for pineapple while others are famous for potato and other vegetables. I saw how rich this country is, the most fertile land, ample water, perfect climate, huge coal deposits and rich in gas reserves," he said.

"The region where I have been born and brought up is also a fertile land in the entire USA but the land of this country is more fertile. Considering all aspects it can be said that God loves this country much and He has given this land much more than any other," he said.

He expressed hope that the nice people of this country will be able to establish Bangladesh as a prosperous nation and the women of the country will contribute a lot to building their nation.

CWCCI member Mrs Sabiha Nahar Begum Musa MP said she feels proud when the US ambassador addresses her as a member of the CWCCI than a parliament member on any occasion.

The function was addressed, among others, by president of American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh Aftabul Islam, president in-charge of the CWCCI Bilkis Iqbal Dada, vice president Khaleda A Awal, director Shamima Harun Lubna and former vice president Gulshana Ali.
