Workshop with 91 SoEs at PMO on Oct 26

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has initiated enhancement of mutual cooperation and share best practice among state-owned enterprises (SoEs), officials said.

As per the move, a workshop with top officials of 91 SoEs will be hosted on October 26 at Korobi Hall of PMO, they added.

The workshop styled 'The role of SoEs to implement SDGs: best practices and challenges' is scheduled to have two sessions.

PM's principal secretary Md Nojibur Rahman will conduct one session and SDG (sustainable development goal) principal coordinator Md Abul Kalam Azad the other.

Finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal is likely to attend the session on 'Sharing best practices among SoEs' as the chief guest.

On the other hand, planning minister MA Mannan is likely to be present at the other session on 'Mutual cooperation among SoEs' as the chief guest.

A total of 200 participants, including secretaries, chief executives of the entities and representatives from the private sector, will attend the workshop.

Existing challenges, problem-solving methods, best practices and other related issues of state companies and corporations will be discussed at the sessions.

According to a letter, PMO has asked secretaries of ministries and divisions concerned to send reports on challenges, best practices and allied issues of SoEs.
