Zero death for 19th straight day

Bangladesh reported 30 new Covid-19 cases and zero death from the virus on Monday.
With this, the country witnessed zero Covid death for the 19th consecutive day.
The figures were twenty-three and zero respectively on Sunday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With the latest daily counts, the total fatalities from Covid-19 reached 29,127 in the country since the virus was detected in the country in March 2020,
Some 7,413 samples were tested during the last 24 hours until 8:0am on Monday while 7,455 samples were collected during the period.
However, the Covid-19 test positivity was 0.40 per cent on the day, which was 0.41 per cent on the previous day.
According to the DGHS, a total of 272 people recovered from the coronavirus disease in the country during the last 24-hour reporting time.
The rate of recovery was 97.18 per cent on the day, the DGHS figures revealed.
However, the rate of fatalities from coronavirus disease remained static at1.49 per cent on the day.
According to the official data, the total Covid-19 cases have exceeded 1.95 million in Bangladesh and more than 1.89 million of them had recovered from the deadly disease.
More than 14 million samples have been tested across the country so far.
