10 hurt in Shitalakkhya trawler capsize

NARAYANGANJ, July 18 (UNB): A trawler carrying 30 passengers capsized in the Shitalakkhya River under Sadar Upazila Friday after being hit by a cargo vessel, leaving 10 people injured.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar Model thana Manzur Quader said: 'MV City-204' hit the trawler in the Central Kheyaghat area on its way to the port area of the district around 1:15 pm.
All the passengers of the trawler jumped into the river before it sank completely.
Later, several boats roaming in the river rescued them. However, 10 of them sustained injuries. On information, a team of divers rushed to the spot and conducted a search.
