102 sacks of fertilizer seized in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, Oct 3 (UNB) The police arrested a man and recovered 102 sacks of urea fertilizer from a tractor at Khansama Upazila headquarters here Tuesday.
Officer-in-Charge of Khansama thana Aminul Islam said the tractor, after loading some 55 sacks of fertilizer from the godown of M Abbas Ali of village Rajnagar and 47 sacks of fertilizer from the house of Abu Taher of Bhognagar village of nearby Birganj Upazila was going to Nilphamari district to sell those in the black market.
Acting on secret information, he said, police halted the tractor, seized the fertilizer and arrested its driver Ramzan Ali.
A case was filed against Abbas Ali, Abu Taher and Ramzan Ali in this connection.
