10th grader stabbed dead at Hatirjheel

A schoolboy was stabbed to death in Hatirjheel's Madhubagh area in the capital while hanging out with friends on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr (Saturday), reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Md Rabbi, 19, a 10th grader at Anjuman High School in Moghbazar.

Rabbi, son of Md Faruk Mia of Fultala Upazila in Panchagarh, used to live with his family in Chairman Goli in Moghbazar.

Mehedi Hasan, a classmate of Rabbi, said while passing through the madrasha field in Madhubag at around 09:00 pm, three to four miscreants stabbed Rabbi in the chest and abdomen with sharp weapons before fleeing.

He was first taken to a local hospital and later taken to Dhaka Medical College for better treatment.

Doctors on duty declared Rabbi dead at around 10:30 pm.
