11-year-old bullet-hit child dies in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, May 14: Rashmi Akhter, who had been shot earlier by terrorists in Raufabad area under Bayezid Police Station in Chittagong, died while undergoing treatment. The 11-year-old child died at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) at 9:45 am on Thursday.
Sources said a young man named Raju was killed in a gunfight with miscreants in Raufabad Shaheed Minar Gali on April 7. Rashmi Akhter was injured during the gunfight while leaving her house to buy betel leaf from a nearby shop. The bullet hit her left eye. She was admitted to CMCH, where she succumbed to her wounds.
Police arrested six persons in connection with the case filed by Raju's mother over the shooting.
