Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 57 people and seized 12 faulty gas cylinders conducting separate drives in the city's Wari and Kamrangichar areas on Monday night, reports UNB.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-Wari Zone) of the DMP Masudur Rahman on Tuesday told the media the drives were conducted in 31 restaurants and hotels in Wari area.
They checked whether the restaurants have exit gate or not and whether the gas cylinders were secured or not.
Legal action will be taken against the arrestees, the ADC (Wari Zone) said.
