12 people including 11 gamblers held

BARISAL, July 17(UNB): The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 12 people including 11 gamblers along with gambling money from separate places of the district Sunday and Monday.
RAB source said they arrested Nirob Hossain Tutul (35), from the Port Road area of the city under section 16 (2) of emergency regulation act for anti-state and anti-government propagation Sunday night.
Besides, raiding a den of gamblers at the Sultani Biri Factory at Bazar Road area of the city they arrested 11 gamblers along with gambling money of Tk 0.16 million.
All of the arrested persons were handed over to police Monday and sent to jail after lodging cases.
