1,400 kgs of rice allocated under VGF programme recovered in Pabna

PABNA, Sept 26 (UNB): Police recovered 1,400 kgs of rice, allocated under VGF programme, from near Gayeshpur union parishad office in Sadar Upazila Thursday night.
Tipped-off, they raided the area and recovered the rice, kept at union parishad office, at about 11.00 pm when it was being loaded into Nasimon (human hauler) for selling in black market.
Four people-acting chairman of Gayeshpur union parishad Abul Hossain, secretary Sayeduzzaman, Member Abdus Sabur and chowkidar Momtaj-were engaged in loading the rice.
