144,000 male students to get stipends from PM fund

The government has prepared a list of 144,000 male students for providing them with stipends from the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust Fund like female students, reports UNB.
"We've prepared the list, we'll provide stipends to 144,000 male students from the Trust Fund in the future," announced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The announcement came at the inaugural ceremony of an international conference titled, 'Girls' and women's literacy and education: Foundations for sustainable development', marking the International Literacy Day 2014 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
The programme was organised by the Bangladesh government in partnership with UNESCO, in support of the UN Secretary General's Global Education First Initiative (GEFI).
