15 maunds of Jatka seized in N\\\'ganj

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard seized 15 maunds of Jatka (hilsa fry less than ten inches in length) raiding two launches in the Dhaleshwari river in Naryanganj district early Friday, reports UNB.

Sources at the Coast Guard headquarters said an operational team from the Coast Guard Station in Pagla of Narayanganj district conducted separate drives in 'Achal-6' and 'Sabbir-2' in the Dhaleshwari river about 4:00am.

The law enforces recovered 15 maunds of Jatka worth Tk 0.18 million from

the two launches in an abandoned condition as the traders fled the scene after sensing the presence of the law enforcers.
