15,229 pass 43rd BCS preliminary exam

A total of 15,229 candidates have passed the 43rd Bangladesh Civil Service preliminary exams, reports bdnews24.com.

The results are also available via SMS. A candidate will need to write "BCS<space>43<space>Registration Number" and send the message to 16222 from any Teletalk number to get the result.

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission published the results on its website on Thursday.

The successful candidates will now be eligible to take the written exams, which are expected to be held in July, officials said. The specific date and other details will be published later, said the commission.

As many as 435,190 job seekers applied to attend the test last year, the second highest in the history of the BCS exams.

Out of them, 321,650 took the exams at 369 centres across the country on October 29 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
