17 persons killed in separate incidents

Seventeen persons were killed and many others injured in separate incidents in different places of the country during the last two days, report agencies.
In Natore, three persons were killed and another three injured in a road accident on the Natore-Pabna Highway at Garmati under Baraigram Upazila in the district Saturday.
In Satkhira, two persons were killed and one seriously injured in two separate road accidents on the Satkhira- Kaliganj road near Jhakal bridge and Satkhira-Jessore road at Labos Polytechnic point Friday and Saturday.
In Gaibandha, a body was recovered from the Bawgati river near Dewantala bridge under Shaghata Upazila in the district.
In Sylhet, bodies of two young man were recovered in Dakkhin Surma and Biswanath Upazilas of the district.
In another incident in Biswanath Upazila, police recovered the hanging body of a young man at the upazila headquarters Friday noon.
In Pabna, three people, including a baby boy, were killed and 20 others injured when a coach plunged into a roadside ditch near Chhanda bridge on Pabna-Nagarbari highway Sunday night.
In Chittagong, two security guards were crushed under the wheels of a trolley near the toll plaza of Chittagong Port container terminal Sunday morning.
In Brahmanbaria, a farmer was stabbed to death by miscreants at village Birpasha in Sadar Upazila Friday night.
In Shariatpur, a fire broke out in a grocery shop at Kanarbazar in sadar uapzila burning down valuables and killing shopkeeper Billal Mollah, who was asleep in the shop.
Two other shopkeepers sustained burn injuries while they were trying to rescue Billal from the burning shop.
In Comilla, a youth was burnt alive as a fire broke out in his house in Subhopur area of the town early Sunday.
In Bhola, a minor boy was killed and 45 other people were injured when a bus plunged into a roadside pond at Bankerhat near Bhola-Bheduria launch ghat road here Friday.
In Gaibandha, a woman was killed and two other passengers of a rickshaw van were injured in a road accident in Saghata Upazila.
In Habiganj, at least 35 people were injured, four seriously, in a fierce clash between two groups of villagers at Naogaon village in Baniachong Upazila Saturday.
