The 18th annual meeting of the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Senate was held at the BUP Senate Hall on Tuesday. It was presided over by BUP Vice Chancellor (VC) and Senate Chairman Major General Md. Mahbub-ul Alam.
In his address, the BUP VC stated that in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the rapidly changing global environment, the university is developing an education system that places equal emphasis on academic excellence, leadership, creativity, critical thinking, technological competence, and problem-solving skills. As a result, BUP has rapidly emerged as a trusted institution of higher education in the fields of education, research, innovation, and international collaboration.
BUP Treasurer, Air Commodore Md Reza Emdad Khan, presented the revised budget for the fiscal year (FY) 2025-2026, amounting to over Tk 1.43 billion, and the proposed budget for the FY 2026-2027, amounting to over Tk 1.49 billion.
The meeting was conducted by BUP Registrar, Brigadier General Md Rabbi Ahsan. Members of the parliament, secretaries from various ministries, senior officers of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, and senior officials of the BUP attended the event.
