19 get Meena Media Award

Some 19 writers, presenters, film makers, directors and producers received the 'Meena Media Award-2008' for their outstanding contribution to children's issues in print and electronic media in Bangladesh, reports BSS.
UNICEF Representative Carel de Rooy handed over crests styled after iconic animation character Meena, a certificate and a cheque among the winners at a function in the city Tuesday.
The first, second and third award recipients of each category and age-groups received prize money of Tk 50,000, Tk 25,000 and Tk 15,000 respectively.
