2 chopped to death in city

Two young men were chopped to death by miscreants at Dakkhin Pirerbagh of Mirpur in the city Sunday midnight, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Kayem Hossain (32), son of Abdul Qader Mollah, a resident of 78/3 Madhya Pirerbagh of the area, and Jahangir (32), an electronics appliance trader and son of late Joynul Abedin, hailing from Pirgachha in Savar Upazila of Dhaka district, reports UNB.
Kayem returned home from Malaysia two years back, said his brother Kayes.
Sub-inspector (SI) Qamrul Islam of Mirpur Thana said local people spotted the bodies of the two young men on a road at Battala in the area at around 12:30 am and informed the police.
Later, police recovered the bodies that bore several stab marks in the heads and sent those to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The reason behind the killing could not be known yet, added the sub-inspector.
