The two Bangladesh nationals, abducted by unknown militants in Libya and then set free, are likely to return home within a couple of days, according to a diplomatic source, reports UNB.
The Bangladesh nationals-Anowar Hossain, and Helal Uddin, hailing from Noakhali and Jamalpur-will return home via Malta as they will be taken to the VAOS office first.
If not possible by Sunday, they will be at home by Monday, said the source.
However, Helena Akhter, daughter of Helal, told the Jamalpur correspondent of the news agency that they spoke to her father Thursday and Friday.
Quoting Anwar's brother Amjad Hossain, the Noakhali correspondent of the news agency said he talked to his brother and informed that he will be returning soon. "He'll come back but no specific date," Amjad Hossain said.
Earlier, March 25, the Foreign Ministry confirmed that two Bangladesh nationals were released. They were abducted on March 6.
