2 killed in city \\\'gunfight\\\'

Two suspected criminals were reportedly killed in a 'gunfight' with the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan police (DMP) in the city's Motijheel area early Sunday, reports UNB.

The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.

The DB also recovered two firearms and one motorcycle from the spot.

Sources said a team of DB police challenged two motorcycles near Motijheel Ideal School and College around 2:00 am.

Sensing danger, the bikers opened fire targeting the detectives, who responded by returning fire.
